food utilitarians might do well to buy a big block of meat from the grocer, cook it with a butt-load of seasoning, and then cut up the resulting big block of seasoned meat into single-serving units, deposit into zip-log bags, and then retrieve at lunch time when the meal plan calls for meat.

this may reduce the per-unit operations time for cooking lunches.
